An avid writer, this local boy composed most of his songs. Kawika Regidormade his recording debut on the popular “Island Love Shack” compilation series and released his first full length CD, “The First Time,” for which he received a Na Hoku Hanohano nomination for Most Promising New Artist. He became a household name in local music circles when the comical music video of his original song, “Two Lovers,” had a long run on local television. “The First Time” was followed by “Paradise,” and “Growing Up,” which all received solid radio play in the islands, especially on Maui and Kauai.
